Who am I?

I am Erik Marshall.  I have a Ph.D. from the English Department of Wayne State University, in film and media studies. I defended my dissertation, entitled Distributed Cinema: Interactive, Networked Spectatorship in the Age of Digital Media in March 2010.

What do I do?

I write. I maintain a blog here called A Memorable Fancy and contribute to The Odeon Review. I do some academic writing and I am currently writing a novel. I am available for all sorts of technical writing, ghostwriting, or any other variety of writing.

I teach.  I am currently teaching film and media studies and media writing at a few institutions of higher education in the Metro Detroit area. I also tutor all levels of English as well as the English, Reading and Writing sections of the ACT and SAT, and French grammar and ESL.
