I don’t have an iPod but I want an iPhone

I have told two people lately that I don’t have an ipod and they were both like “what?!?” I assume that reaction is because I am a techy kinda guy, I like music, I like gadgets, and I have s—load of mp3s. I don’t have an ipod, nor a zune, zen or anything else.  I have an old CD player that plays mp3s from CD, so I guess I CAN be an early adopter. So there. It’s not that I don’t want a cool mp3 player, but everytime I think about buying one, there’s a new version on the horizon. 40GB, what about 60GB and video? Whoa, how about 80GB? Know what I mean. But I must tell you, I have not had as much technolust and early-adopter envy as I have with this new iPhone. This thing looks awesome, and it doesn’t even ship until June. I’m gonna start saving my pennies now, so I can buy a second generation in 2008. Readers interested in pointing out my contradictions should refer to this post.
