Mac gripe/question

I’m on the road, so I’m using the iBook and iPhoto 5, taking a bazillion pics, which people want emailed, etc. Now, I can post to flickr throug iPhoto, which rules, but some of these pics need to be emailed and not flickred, but iPhoto will do the automatic resizing of my huge photos for Entourage and Apples’ Mail Program. Regular readers know how I feel about Microsoft, and Mail just doesn’t cut it for me, so I use Thunderbird. Why doesn’t iPhoto support it? Is there a plugin or workaraound or something I can use? Anyone know?

There is a plug-in that extends iPhoto’s ability to work with lots of mail clients – PowerMail, GyazMail, MailSmith, etc – ( you can read about it here: http://www.timgaden.com/haw… ) – but the problem with Thunderbird is a lack of "applescriptability".

I use Thunderbird in part for consistency, as I use it in windows and linux also, but an obvious solution might be just to use apple’s mail.app. I don’t remember why i switched away from it – i think it was not showing all my imap folders, or i didn’t think it was feature-rich enough, but maybe i should look into plugins. I like that word, though, "applescriptability".
